Somewhat of a specialty extension, primarily used for reporting a performance problem on Bugzilla, a tool the developers can use to see what Firefox is spending its time doing. It allows one to customize a lot of the colors. I use this to set the theme for Firefox Nightly. If a post is in a language one doesn't read, this can usually make it readable. Highlight some text on a page, right+click, select "To Google Translate" → "Translate (auto/en)" and a separate tab opens with the highlighted text and an attempted translation. This can be handy if one isn't sure the country for the site being visited, or to double-check the site is in the country you expected. Mouse hover over the icon will display country name and IP address for the main HTML page clicking on the icon will display some more information.

This is wonderful for those wanting to see if a website already supports IPv6, or just the main page server supports IPv6 but the guts of the page is still IPv4-only (such as my credit union).ĭisplays the flag representing the country for most web sites.

Cached components or expired DNS record in Firefox's DNS cache won't display the IP address of that server, but a forced refresh, such as Ctrl+F5 in Windows, should get most or all of the IP addresses. Clicking on the icon will display all servers accessed. I never let it do automatic updates, but the report (a page created internally by the extension) makes it convenient to attempt to visit a flagged bookmark so one can decide if one wants accept a redirection (usually where HTTP become HTTPS), reject the redirection (such as an official landing page that redirects to a complicated logon URL, such as going to the portal for the local community college), or to see if something caused a false hit (page took longer to come up, for example).įor those wanting to see if a site is accessed using IPv4 or IPv6, this will display it immediately, including whether components of the page are also IPv4 or IPv6. Normally I keep this disabled, but when I want to check if my bookmarks are still valid, this extension will attempt to access every webpage pointed to by my bookmarks. Helps find duplicate and dead bookmarks (though some cases there are some false hits).
#AVAST FIREFOX EXTENSION ADDON PASSWORD#
I wouldn't consider any browser that doesn't have an ad blocker either internally or as an extension, and this seems to be one of the best, both for Firefox and for Chrome.įor password managers that look at the windows title, such as KeePass without using more direct extensions to plug this into the browser, this places the host name into the Windows title for this window when the tab has focus. ExtensionĪ blocker, great for blocking most advertisements. All of these extensions should be able to work with the supported desktop versions of Firefox I can't speak of other platforms.

These are the extensions I regularly use with Firefox Nightly (64-bit) under Windows (64-bit).
